8 Days From Tangier to the Desert of Merzouga

DAY 1: TANGER – CHEFCHAOUEN

Arrive at the port of Tangier and, after a tour of the city, transfer to Chefchaouen. Chefchaouen, one of the most beautiful small towns in the Rif mountains, is painted in shades of blue. Overnight in Chefchaouen.

DAY 2: CHEFCHAOUEN – VOLUBILIS – MEKNES – FES

Breakfast we continue our journey to Fez, the first of the Imperial Cities, its origin dates back to the 8th century. It is also one of the first Muslim holy cities in Morocco and is proud to be home to one of the oldest universities in the world.

DAY 3: FES GUIDED TOUR

Today we will dedicate the whole day to visit this great city, the oldest, richest, cultural, religious, spiritual and mysterious of the four imperial cities of Morocco, where you will be able to see that it has not suffered the passage of time. The medina of Fez has to be visited without haste, for something is the largest of the Maghreb, lose yourself in its labyrinthine streets is the charm of this medina, but to appreciate this city you have to go by day and then at sunset as it changes completely, during the day is a bustling city full of people wandering through the shops, shopping or just watching, but at sunset acquires another speed, is much more relaxed less overwhelming.

DAY 4: FES – IFRANE – MIDELT – ERFOUD – MERZOUGA DESERT

In the morning departure from Fez to the south of Morocco via Ifrane, stop in Azrou, in the forest of cedars and Atlas monkeys. DAY 5: MERZOUGA – TODRA – DADES – OUARZAZATTE

We will wake up and if the clouds allow us, we can have a chance to contemplate the beautiful spectacle of the sunrise over the sea of dunes, then we will ride the camels and return to the hostel where we will have a shower and breakfast, we will continue to Ouarzazate first imperial city of Morocco to visit its legendary market the largest in all of southern Morocco, continuation to Tazzarine passing through Alnif, in the middle of the Mader basin. We will follow the route towards the famous Todra Gorges, the Dades Valley, the Valley of the Roses and the oases of Skoura. Arrival in Ouarzazate Dinner and overnight at hotel.

DAY 6: OUARZAZATE – AIT BENHADDOU – MARRAKECH

Breakfast and departure in the direction of Marrakech before following the route to Marrakech we went to the old Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Visit to the Kasbah where many films have been shot, such as Obelix, Babel, the Sahara, The Kingdom of Heaven, Cleopatra and Gladiator. Then we will follow the route back to Marrakech, crossing the high atlas mountains through the Tizin Tichka pass with its spectacular views, arriving in the afternoon in Marrakech.

DAY 7: MARRAKECH GUIDED TOUR

In the morning visit of this city that gave name to Morocco. It extends before the majestic Atlas foreseen of snowy peaks a part of the year. Its destiny is linked to that of the various dynasties that follow one another and its tradition of political, economic and cultural metropolis has always dominated the history of the Maghreb ,Marrakech is also the city of spectacle, where there is a permanent party as you can see in the famous Jemaa el Fna Square.
