12 days from Casablanca to Marrakech and Merzouga

DAY 1: CASABLANCA

Pick up at Mohamed V airport and transfer to the hotel. Depending on the time of arrival possibility to visit the Hassan II mosque, dinner and hotel accommodation.

DAY 2: CASABLANCA – MARRAKECH

We go down to the red city and free day when we arrive in Marrakech. Go out to discover the famous city, visit the immense souk, and immerse yourself in the lively Djemaa El Fna square, in the heart of millenary Morocco. Let yourself be captivated by the dancers, snake trainers, jugglers, storytellers, singers. Have an orange juice in front of the many stands

DAY 3: MARRAKECH – TELOUAT – AIT BEN HADDOU – OUARZAZATE

Departure after breakfast crossing the High Atlas by the Tizi Ntichka pass (2,260m altitude) then we turn off on a track visiting the Telouet Kasbah. We will pass through Berber villages to reach the fortified village of Ait ben haddou, where they shot several famous movies like Gladiator , Obelix , Sahara with Penelope Cruz … free time for lunch in the village and continue to Ouarzazate. Dinner and accommodation in hotel.

DAY 4: OUARZAZATE – SKOURA – DADES VALLEY

Breakfast and departure to visit the city of Ouarzazate, considered the gateway to the great desert and place from which they leave the great expeditions, and where highlights The Kasbah of Taourirt, and the Main Palace of Glaoui, the Great Pacha of southern Morocco. continue to the Valley of the Roses through Skoura, boumalne dades to reach the Gorges of Dades Dinner and overnight.

DAY 5: DADES VALLEY – TODRA GORGES – MERZOUGA (DESERT)

Departure by a road dotted with Kasbahs all different. After several stops, we will arrive at one of the strongest points of tourism in the South: The Todra Gorges. The Todra River has formed a gorge of vertical walls of enormous proportions and great beauty, is a paradise for climbers and a unique place. We will continue our journey to the south. Lunch on the road and continue to the desert until you reach the impressive dunes of Merzouga, free time to climb the dunes and take advantage of the sunset, after dinner a show awaits us Berber drums. DAY 6: MERZOUGA – ERG CHEBBI – MERZOUGA

Breakfast. We surround Erg Chebbi, an extension of sand desert where the Great Dune of Morocco is located, with more than 250 meters of altitude, connecting by track with part of the route followed by the old Paris-Dakar, with the mountains that border with Algeria in the background. We stop at the oasis of Tissardmin and continue to a nomadic settlement where we will learn some secrets of their life and customs. Later stop at a panoramic point where we can contemplate the Erg Chebbi as a whole. Stop in Khamlia, a village originally from Mali, where we can relax with a cup of tea while enjoying a small concert of Gnawa music. Return to the hostel, lunch and departure on camel in a route of one and a half hours that will take us to the foot of the Great Dune, surrounded by the beautiful desert sunset. We will sleep in a Haima in the heart of the desert under the spectacular blanket of stars.

DAY 7: MERZOUGA – RISSANI – MERZOUGA DUNES

We woke up before dawn to watch the sunrise. Return to the hostel by camel. Shower and breakfast. Early departure to Rissani where we discover the desert region with its isolated oases and the black desert. Visit of the palm grove of Rissani with its old kasbahs. In the evening, return to Merzouga to enjoy the calm of the desert. Dinner and overnight at the hostel.

DAY 8: MERZOUGA – MIDELT – FES

After breakfast, we said goodbye to the desert and left for the north of the country through the Ziz valley, taking advantage of the coolness of the blue Meski fountain where you can rest. We will stop in Midelt for lunch and then continue to Fez, passing through Ifrane (the Swiss Moroccan) and arrive in Fez where we will stay in a Riad in the medina.

DAY 9: FEZ – FEZ.

Free day for the royal city of Fez with its numerous “médersas”, its tanneries and the famous Medina.

DAY 10: FEZ – VOLUBILIS – MEKNES

Departure for Meknès. Visit of the Imperial City with its famous gate, Bab El Mansour, the mausoleum of Mulay Ismaïl and the Agdal basin. Possibility to discover the ruins of the Roman city of Volubilis located at about thirty kilometers from Meknès and the holy city of Moulay Idriss, a pilgrimage center for any Moroccan. Dinner and accommodation in Meknès.

DAY 11: MEKNES – RABAT – CASABLANCA

On the way to Casablanca, we will stop in the capital of Morocco (Rabat) and arrive in the afternoon in Casablanca where you can do some shopping.

DAY 12: CASABLANCA

Breakfast, morning off. At the agreed time transfer to the airport and end of our services.
